Choice of gasket material is crucial for durability

The correct choice of gasket material is important when it comes to product resistance in the processing plant. Food contact packaging must comply with FKM and possibly FDA directives.

In some cases, it may be necessary to differentiate gasket materials according to raw materials and finished product, just as parts of the process plant with heat treatment may place special demands on gaskets. Finally, it is important to ensure that the gasket material is resistant to the cleaning fluids used for cleaning / CIP of the process plant.
